00:01-00:43: Acknowledgement of City officials, departments, personnel, and representatives of national government agencies who attended the flag-raising ceremony, where Mayor Vico mentioned that nearly all members of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Pasig, led by FSupt. Christopher C. Angot, and the Philippine National Police-Pasig, led by Acting Chief, PCOL. Hendrix Mangaldan, were present. He also acknowledged the presence of the host offices from the Environmental Sector.

00:44-03:09: Guidelines on the Cancellation or Suspension of Classes during Disasters or Natural Calamities

- Mayor Vico reminded everyone of the existing Executive Order No. PCG-48, series of 2024, an EO localizing the Department of Education Order No. 37, series of 2022. He stressed that classes in all levels shall be automatically suspended as soon as the City is placed under Signal No. 1 by PAGASA.

- He added that learners and school personnel do not have to wait for a local announcement when a Signal No. 1 or higher has already been raised in Metro Manila, as this automatically entails that classes in all levels are suspended or cancelled in Pasig City.

- He then emphasized that Red and Orange Rainfall Warnings signify that classes in ALL LEVELS are automatically suspended, while Yellow Rainfall Warning only covers classes under K-12 (ECCD, Kinder to Grade 12).

- Mayor Vico reiterated that residents may also refer to the weather advisories posted on PAGASA’s bulletin as they are sufficient enough to merit class suspension, aside from the posts being released by the Pasig City Public Information Office and/or the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

- He also shared that EO PCG-48, s.2024 was created to speed up and standardize the process.

- He added that if a Red or Orange Rainfall Warning is not issued, the school principals have the authority to cancel or suspend classes in their jurisdiction should they deem the circumstances unsafe for the learners and personnel.

03:10-03:44: Mayor Vico talked about Typhoon Nika that recently placed Metro Manila under Signal No. 1 and said that the City government stays alert in monitoring its progress. He encouraged everyone to pray for those affected in areas that are still recovering from the onslaught of the recent typhoons and at risk of being hit again.

03:45-04:16: He then shared that the Grant of Financial Assistance, amounting to a total of Php13,500,000.00, is currently being handed over by some staff from the Office of the City Mayor staff to the 17 local government units that declared a “State of Calamity” due to the effects of Typhoons Julian and Kristine (2024). Mayor Vico expressed his thanks to the Pasigueños for their contribution and to God for putting Pasig City in a position to offer help and support to the typhoon victims.
