Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto addressed the following points during the weekly flag-raising ceremony:

00:01-00:27: Acknowledgment of City officials, departments, personnel, and representatives from national government agencies who attended the flag-raising ceremony.

00:28-01:08: Mayor Vico congratulated the regulatory offices, particularly the Business Permit and Licensing Department and the Office of the City Administrator, for the successful business renewal process in January 2025. He commended the permitting and renewal services, despite the challenges posed by the relocation of offices.

01:09-03:36: Mayor Vico reminded everyone to be vigilant and cautious regarding the circulation of fake news. He emphasized the importance of everyone, not only personnel being aware but also those holding management-level positions in helping to clarify or correct any misinformation/fake news. He noted that much of this could be rooted in misunderstandings in the process/services, which is why it’s crucial for those with management-level positions — from section heads to supervisors —to clarify the truth and explain the rationale behind City Government efforts. This is particularly needed given that there are orchestrated efforts to spread fake news about the City Government’s services.

03:37-04:06: Mayor Vico witfully reminded everyone to remain cautious, in general. He concluded his speech by extending his thanks and best wishes for the rest of the week to everyone who attended the ceremony.
